When we realised we would have a long time at home my brain, in trying to be positive, filled with ideas and plans. The house is a mess – we can finally have time to sort it out. I can craft and sew and create. The garden will be tidy and blooming. I will reduce our outgoings to make up for the financial strain I am under in these tricky times. I will be more healthy, do YouTube classes and lose weight. I will spend quality time with my two small boys and teach them in an engaging and fun way and we will all love it! Anyone else?
I am realising that these plans are lovely, but not necessarily how it will actually be. Let’s face it, they are pretty unrealistic!
So as we go into our second ‘school day’ at home we have started positively with Joe Wicks for a work out like many friends. We have had some chill out time so mummy could shower and dress and now we are doing YouTube phonics with Ruth Miskin’s Read Write Inc team.
Today will not be too structured and the house will not be tidy but we will try. There will be moments of positivity and joy, and there will be moments of stopping the small boys from killing each other. But we will be together and safe and blessed by this.
